How Does TRIA work?
The TRIA System is so easy to use. It targets dark pigment in the hair so it works best for people with darker hair and lighter skin. Before use there is a skin sensor that tests your skin to see if you can even use the laser. If your skin passes the test then it will unlock the laser. If you’re skin is too dark the laser will not unlock and you will not be able to use it. The laser will target the dark pigment and a flash of light and heat will disable the hair follicle and gradually cause the hair to fall out and stop growing all together. Since hair grows in cycles you must perform the treatment every other week for the first 3 months, then a maintenance treatment once per month for 3-5 months to achieve the best results.
There are three different settings for the laser. I have only been using the lowest setting because the heat is too much for me to handle on the medium or highest settings. Even on the lowest setting I am seeing amazing results. It will also beep each time it has successfully zapped the hair follicles and make an error noise when it has not. This is quite helpful because sometimes you can see what you’re doing.
