Yesterday I reported that Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camille Alves are three months pregnant with no wedding bells in the near future. Just last week Nicole Richie and Joel Madden gave birth to a baby girl and no ring on her finger.

Other celebrities following this trend include Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and fiance Cash Warren, and most famous Tinseltown power couple Brangelina.

I think that as long as each person in the relationship takes on full responsibility as a parent then it does not matter if you are married. Whatever the reason for not getting married, whether it be financial, spiritual or otherwise, I’m OK with that. Marriage works for some, but it’s not for everyone.
