Pint-sized American Idol alum Paris Bennett from season 5 gave birth to a baby girl named Egypt on Monday weighing 5 pounds and 15 ounces. This is the first child for the 20-year-old singer. She told People.com, “I’m so excited to finally see my little angel, and man, does she have lungs on her.
“I guess she’s gearing up to be the next American Idol.”
Paris Bennett came in fifth that year in 2006 placing behind Chris Daughtry, Elliot Yamin, Katherine McPhee and winner Taylor Hicks. American Idol Season 5 also included Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington.
Bennett released her debut album Princess P on 306 Entertainment/TVT Records in 2007.
