The View co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 30, and NFL quarterback hubby, Tim, 29, welcomed a baby boy Friday in a Phoenix-area hospital. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces. This is their second child. Their first child, Grace Elisabeth, turned two in April.
“Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son, and we’re thrilled he arrived safely. Both mom and son are happy and healthy,” said Tim Hasselbeck. “Grace is so excited to be a big sister.”
Elisabeth left The View earlier than expected when Tim was signed as a backup quarterback by the Arizona Cardinals forcing the family to relocate to Phoenix. She moved her maternity leave up from Nov. 9 to Oct. 23.
“It was not easy to leave my co-hosts and our crew early, but it was more than clear to me that I want my family to be under the same roof when our baby arrived,” she said earlier this week, per the ABC press release.
Hasselbeck is said to call in to The View Monday morning to announce the name of their new baby.
