As if Britney Spears isn’t white trash enough, now her 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant.
What a sad, sad day for us all.
The star of Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101″ and her mom sold their story about Jamie’s pregnancy exclusively to OK magazine. The father is long time boyfriend and high school schoolmate, Casey Aldridge.
Spears is 12 weeks along and said that the baby was not planned but she is going to keep it. She broke the news to her mom just before Thanksgiving.
“Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me,” she said.
She is going to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana so her child can have a “normal” life. Uh, sure.
So what’s going to happen with “Zoey 101″? It is scheduled to end it’s third season with a cliff hanger January 4, and season four has already been completed.
Nickelodeon released a statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”
I must say, whoever was hired to manage Britney Spears for the first 5 years of her career should win an award. They pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes. What we saw in 2007 wasn’t a Britney Spears breakdown, it was just the REAL Britney Spears. You can really appreciate all the work her previous publicist and managing team had to do. And now her 16-year-old sister is pregnant? Clearly this is a dysfunctional family.
