Amy Poehler and hubby Will Arnett welcomed their first child, Archie Arnett, Saturday. I was wondering how many more Saturday Night Live “Weekend Updates” she had left before she popped. Her rep Lewis Kay says, “He is 8 lbs. 1 oz., Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably.”
Amy’s co-host Seth Meyers “broke” the news to viewers Saturday night as to why Amy’s chair was empty announcing “she was having a baby”. Maya Rudolph filled her spot for the night.
On a sad note Amy Poehler is expected to leave SNL to star in her own NBC sitcom; a spinoff to The Office. She is probably the only funny person left on that show and I will be dearly missed.
