Britney Spears was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last night for a psychiatric evaluation.
She was taken from her house by paramedics in an ambulence after a four-hour standoff at her Beverly Hill home when she refused to hand over her kids to ex-husband Kevin Ferderline. It was said she was laughing hysterically the whole way over to the hospital.
Federline’s bodyguard arrived to pick up the children at a scheduled 7pm visit. The boys were finally handed over to Kevin at 11pm.
Britney was said to be “under the influence of an unknown substance”.
It is rumored that her sponsor called the authorities when Britney would not come out of a locked room with her sons.
Spears’ one-year-old son, Jayden James was also rushed to the hospital in a separate ambulance from his mother after the standoff, but it is unknown what the toddler is being treated for.
