I didn’t even know Ellen DeGeneres wore makeup, but I’m happy to hear that comedienne and talk show host Ellen will be Procter & Gamble’s new CoverGirl next year.

Is this foreshadowing that Isis, the transgendered model, on America’s Next Top Model is the winner of cycle 10? The winner always gets a contract with CoverGirl. Maybe they are just lightening the shock by announcing Ellen DeGeneres as the new CG. Just a theory. Although I doubt it since Isis isn’t doing too well so far in the competition. Either way I’m very curious to see Ellen’s photoshoot and TV ads which start airing in January 2009.

“Ellen is the quintessential CoverGirl,” said Esi Eggleston Bracey, a Procter & Gamble vice president, in a statement. “She is smart, confident, natural and beautiful from the inside out.”

Other famous CoverGirls include Queen Latifah and Drew Barrymore.
