Jessica Simpson’s reps recently told Usmagazine.com that she wont be at the Dallas-Giants NFL Divisional Playoff game this Sunday, January 13th.
Her rep tells Us that “she is not attending. She is working on a new album… but she’ll be watching [on TV] and cheering him on.”
Simpson is dating Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo and faced huge criticism from Dallas fans when she showed up to support Tony on December 16th when the Cowboys faced the Philadelphia Eagles. Simpson was wearing a custom white-and-pink Cowboys jersey and sat in a luxury box while she cheered on her boyfriend. Though her support was heartfelt, Romo ended up having the worst game of his career, completing just 13 of 36 passes for 214 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
Quarterbacks will sometimes have bad games but the controversy started because his previous worst performance was the year before when, then-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood attended the the 23-7 loss against the Eagles.
OK, people can read into the fact that both performances were games where Tony Romo’s girlfriend was at the game. But isn’t it also interesting that both games were against the Eagles. Maybe Dallas just can’t handle Philly. Then again, I’m from Philly, so I’m a little biased.

It seems like the “Simpson factor” took it’s toll on Romo, or he was having another bad game.
