This isn’t really news. We all guessed this was going to happen. We just needed a date and actual proof that the next time we tuned into to watch Grey’s Anatomy the two partners in crime who got Isaiah Washington kicked off the show would eventually leave themselves.
Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight will both be hanging up their scrubs. Knight has been very outspoken about wanting out of his contract and Katherine is ready to take on bigger and better things. Executive producer Shonda Rhimes is just trying “to find a believable exit for George, one that would leave the door open for him to come back someday”, according to Us Weekly.
At least they have each other because those of us on the other side of the television screens are surely over it.
