Paul Newman Dead?

UPDATE: This article was written to dispel the rumor that Paul Newman was dead. This rumor was circulated about a month ago.  But it has been confirmed this morning September 27th that Paul Newman IS Dead at the age of 83. Scroll down for a brief Paul Newman Biography.

It is hard to imagine saying those words, though we often forget that his is over 80 years old.

Many movie fans are still mourning the loss of comedian Bernie Mac, and now there is news that Paul Newman has revealed to friends and family he wants to die at home after being told he only has “a few weeks to live.”

Reports say that the Hollywood actor, who has been battling lung cancer, has completed his chemo sessions and has told wife Joanne Woodward and the couple’s three daughters that he wants to spend his final days at home rather than the New York cancer hospital where he was being treated.

A close family friend told the MailOnline website, “Paul didn’t want to die in the hospital. Joanne and their daughters are beside themselves with grief.”

The 83-year-old actor has reportedly started getting his business affairs in order in preparation for his death.

The contact added, “He gave a prized Ferrari to a longtime friend. The sudden move angered his children. It’s especially hard for them to come to grips with what’s going on.”

“The word they’ve been given is that he has only a few weeks to live.”

But before you start ordering flowers for the memorial, there is a possibility that this story is false. Another website claims that Newman’s reps denied the reports and Newman himself released a comment that he is in good health.

Regardless, Paul Newman is not getting any younger and with Bernie Mac leaving us so young we shouldn’t take anything for granted.

As well as three daughters with Woodward, to whom he has been married since 1958, Paul has two daughters with ex-wife Jackie Witte.

Paul Newman is considered by many to be one of the greatest actors in history, starring in classic movies like The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Hustler and Cool Hand Luke.

Newman has been nominated for ten Academy Awards and once took home the golden statue for his role in The Color of Money in 1986.
