Gaiam’s Anatomical Leg Weights say you can “turn any activity into a calorie-burning, weight-bearing workout. These ergonomically shaped, weighted sleeves slip on under your clothes and can be worn to work, for running errands and even for walking workouts.”
After an hour of walking it not only hurt my back, but also threw me off balance. However the 2 and a half pound leg weights were perfect for the gym when used in lower body exercises, like side leg work, hip extensions and for the advanced exerciser - Pilates mat exercises.
It’s not recommended to use these weights for everyday movements, but be sure to take them with you to the gym.
