Hi Scott,

I started my cleanse yesterday. I asked many a question before starting the program. One of the questions I asked was about the V8 substitution. My doctor told me that if the vegetable, fruit or spice is organic, then it's OK to use in shakes. He's really pushing the organic side of things, and looking at my grocery bill for about 5 days worth of groceries, the organic side of things will cause your wallet to lose a little weight as well.

I've been considering buying a juicer and sticking to only having 3-5 days worth of groceries in my home to prevent items from spoiling before I consume them.

The shakes are definitely filling and I haven't been able to consume them in less than 30 minutes. The one on my desk here at the office was made over an hour ago, using wild blueberries, 1/2 a banana and 3 strawberries (all organic). I can still hold the mug upside down and keep the shake inside the mug.

The most challenging part for me thus far is taking the SP Cleanse capsules. For some reason, the smell of them triggers my gag reflex. I've overcome the issue by putting a spoonful of shake in my mouth, inhaling and putting in the capsules while I'm exhaling so I only taste the shake.

I had a headache yesterday, most likely caused by a lack of caffeine and watching everyone else in the break room eat foods which didn't follow the cleanse.

"Cleanse" wise, I've noticed a difference in both frequency and volume, both of which are lower.

Starting my cleanse today. First shake wasn't too bad, so I think I'll be able to do this without a lot of problems. And it was without any fruit, etc. in it. Just wanted to see how "bad" it was. I do have a couple of questions. Do you think it would be ok to sub in a couple of V8s a day to add into my veggie intake. Also, I don't see edamame on the list, but would think that's a good source (which I actually like). Curious about anybody's thoughts on those two things.
