I’m not sure if it’s the cleanse or my sleeping nuances that are making me tired today. I have absolutely no energy and the small nap I took really didn’t solve anything. I was hoping to get in some exercise, but that did not happen, and my hankering for something savory left me making my last shake of the day with all veggies. It’s purpose is to be eaten like a raw soup that I sometimes make. Word to the wise: DO NOT ATTEMPT. It was awful, but like the trooper that I am I ate it with a spoon and added rice and chicken to flavor it up a bit. It helped and I managed to finish it, but I’ll eat my veggies in a salad, thank you. The all fruit shakes are really getting to me though…too sweet. I want salty god dammit! Really I just want a pizza.

Here’s what I ate today:

9:30am Breakfast: Shake with 1/2 mango and 1/2 apple

11:00am Lunch: leftover chicken breast with rice, steamed collard greens and raspberries

3:00pm: 1/2 chicken breast, 1/2 cup rice and steamed zucchini

5:00pm: 1/2 mango, carrots

8:45pm Dinner: Shake made with tomato, scallion, cucumber, spinach and avocado

Note: all shakes are made with the SP Complete powder, Whole Food Fiber, cinnamon, stevia and ice, (except for the veggie one).

I have done this detox once in the past and did not have much trouble with it. this time around i am having alot of temtation problems. also i feel i am not getting enough to eat, i feel very bored eating the same thing every day x3. any tips? im kinda picky so im kinda stuck to bananas, grapes, pineapple, rice, chicken, onions, broccoli, carrots and eggs. im also using alot of garlic. Im always tempted to stop but in just the first 4 days the wait loss is amazing and the way i felt at the wnd last time was amazing and dont want to quit..

Hi Zach! Yes today is my very last day on the cleanse. It went by fast and painless, but I am usually a good eater. There is a whey protein from Standard Process that you can add to your shake if you feel you don’t have enough energy, but I didn’t need it. I did eat a lot of the same things. I did a lot of stir fry type dishes, which you can too with any veggie and I also ate ground chicken or turkey with it, and mixed in some raw veggies as well. If you boil the chicken long enough it will shred and then you can make a soup and add your rice and veggies to that. I also made guacamole which can be used as a veggie dip or on top of a salad. I stayed away from bananas during the second half because they are pretty starchy. You can also make a pesto with parsley or cilantro, garlic and olive oil (forgo the cheese and nuts) and put that on your chicken. I also roasted a butternut squash with cinnamon and ate that a bunch of times. If you are near a farmer’s market I would take a stroll through and discover all the amazing fruits and vegetables that grow locally. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you!
