I was so excited when I found GreenPots, the environmentally friendly “green cookware”. Their enameled cast iron pots and pans are free of any chemicals, (and that includes Teflon - which emits toxic particles and gasses into your food while cooking), and look just like Le Creuset’s cookware except without the hefty price tag.
I have been wanting a Le Creuset dutch oven for centuries now, but was always too cheap to spend $200-300 on one. GreenPots dutch ovens range form $64 for the 4 1/4 quart to $127 for the 7 1/2 quart…sold! And they come in brightly colored orange, green, blue, red and white.
Enameled cast iron is perfect for the healthy and environmentally conscious home cook because it absorbs heat and distributes it evenly, making for very efficient cooking, whether it is the slow braising of meats or the simmering of soups. GreenPots can be used on any heat source including the oven for casseroles or for making bread.
In addition to dutch ovens they also have grill pans, skillets, sauce pans, roasting pans and specialty pots. Go check them out at: http://www.greencookingpots.com/index.html

I’m calling BS on your claims that teflon pans emit toxic particles and gasses; Teflon made with any care at all is still FDA approved for implants in the body, and it’s not coming off unless you abuse (progressively warp) your pans with high heat or plain old barbecue grill use, clean them in the dishwasher, or use use rough (fork v. spoon) metal utensils.
Because of the cleaning water/soap savings, teflon is greener than anything else (until you use them 7 hours at a run, as a chef, and merely deglaze between uses.)
Seventy bucks for a dutch oven is neat, though; and these aren’t toast if you drop them loaded, like ceramic ones.
Duck dishes, here we come!
