I have been obsessed with mojitos as of late. I am not a big drinker, but find mojitos to be sweet and refreshing. And if made correctly not overbearing with alcohol to cause a lightweight like myself to go into head twirls. Playing around in the kitchen yesterday I made a sake mojito with agave nectar. Replace the rum with sake and the sugar with agave and voila! Delicousness!

  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1 tsp agave nectar
  • 4 oz sake
  • 1-2 fresh limes
  • club soda
  • ice

Squeeze limes in a cool, tall mixing glass. Add mint and muddle to extract juice, but don’t over do it or you will cause the mint to become bitter. Add sake, agave, and ice. Shake for 10 seconds in a cocktail shaker or stir well. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with mint sprig and fresh lime wedges.
