Trisha Yearwood
Most know trisha as a Grammy Award winning country music star but she is also an amazing cook and is an author of her cookbook “Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen“ that features wonderful southern favorites. Trisha will be on stage with her mother and sister as she prepares some of her favorite recipes from her cookbook.
What To Do: Visit the 94.9 The Bull tent on Saturday to get one of only 200 tickets. Tickets are limited and distributed on a first come basis beginning at 11:00 am. Autograph signing will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday only.
Ted Allen
Ted Allen is a wine and food expert and makes a return to the Taste of Atlanta stage to guide the audience through the basics of pairing dishes with wines. Get food tips from Ted and impress your guests at your next event.
Richard Blais
Bravo’s Top Chef finalist Richard Blais shares his culinary style and the 2008 Taste of Atlanta festival. Richard is a resident of Atlanta and was named one of Gayot Guide’s Top Five Rising Chefs of 2005. Learn some Top Chef secrets as he displays some his unique creativite take an on American food.
Will Rece
Will Rece is a classically trained chef and comedian that will be making his Taste of Atlanta cooking debut this year. You’ll be sure to get great laughs while enjoying the election-themed Recipes, Lame Duck Spring Rolls with Liberal Amounts of Citrus-Ponzu Slaw and Pork Barrel Pot Stickers with Blue and Red State Drizzle.
G. Garvin
Gerry Garvin is an acclaimed chef and cookbook author. Some might also know him as the host of his television series, Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin, on TV One. G. Garvin will delight the guests on the main cooking stage. He has just released his third cookbook, Dining In, that features fine dining recipes for the home cook.
Chef and the Fatman
Radio personalities Chef and the Fatman will entertain the crowd as they tape their radio show October 11 & 12, 2008 from the Taste of Atlanta 2008 festival. Kevin Jenkins better known as the Fatman, and Chef Fred Genovese, bring their culinary experience to this 2008 Atlanta cooking festival.
George Duran
George Duran is a chef and author of Take This Dish and Twist it. The book is stuffed with expert tips, amusing anecdotes, and delectable recipes.
