Taken from a article on Aim,A member of the photogragher's family dismisses the matter as a prank! My Daddy had a little red wagon, that looked like a log wagon, said Joe Brownlowpitts of Savannah,Tenn. He put the fish - which weighed 85lbs. Then my uncle Frank, Who was good at photography. Cut out a cardboard man that was being used in a clothing Advertisement and stuck it on the wagon along with the fish.. Then he took the picture.....I got this info from a Wigit off of IGOOGLE

This photo is not a fake. It has been altered though. The cat is very big still, but I believe that the tail has been cut off and replaced by a big bent railroad broom or duster. The dorsal fin is too low on the body and the tail seems too dark for the body. A fake, but no fake. I still think the fish is well over 100 pounds, but not 500.
