Move over Arnold. Check out this big pooch. Meet Wendy the whippet. An urgan legend has been going around that Wendy is the strongest dog in the world and works for the Russian Army. False! She lives with her family on a farm in Victoria, Canada.

And there’s no Photoshopping in this photo. Wendy has a rare genetic defect that causes her to grow much larger muscles than her counterparts who are known to be slim and trim.

Dogs like her are called “bully whippets”. Her head, heart, lungs and legs are the size of a normal whippet, but she weights twice as much as she should. The four-year-old canine even has a 24-pack of abs!

But don’t be scared. Wendy’s owner says she is a friendly animal who “likes nothing better than a good back scratch and isn’t shy about sitting in your lap to ask for one”. Aww.

As far as claiming title of world’s strongest dog, Wendy makes no claim to that honor.
