A prenuptial agreement is a MUST, even if you are not wealthy. Marriage, in the United States is nothing more than a business contract and you should never enter any business agreement without having it in writing. Yes, a marriage is also about love and trust, but those things do not hold up in court. They are meaningless. So, talk with your partner and negotiate a reasonable and fair prenup so that the two of you can spend the rest of your lives together and not worry about it. Think about it, if you are together forever (as you should be) then a prenup would be meaningless anyway, so be responsible adults instead of little children and get the most important business contract you’ll ever have in writing.
