American Airlines Flight Cancellations

I woke up this morning at 4:00am to catch a 6:45am flight out of Santa Ana, CA to stop at Chicago and then continue on to my destination: Philadelphia. Well, here I am sitting in the Chicago O’Hare Airport at 12:15pm to find out that my 3:45pm flight has been canceled. The solution? A brilliant one! Fly backwards to Dallas at 4:05pm then catch the 8:00pm flight to Philly that finally arrives at 12:35am — 6 hours after my original flight arrival. Never again will I take American Airlines or a non-direct flight across country. And to top it off I had to pay $6.95 for Wi-Fi to write this post. Ridiculous. American Airlines — you suck!
