It isn't for yourself, it's for others. My sister was afraid of dogs until she seen one dyed. I think it looked less intimidating or something. If I had a dog I would want to have fun every now and then and dye its hair. More power to the pony lady and I hope I can see your pony someday. I dye my ponies mane and tale. She is white naturally, so the dye is easily taken and works well. So you who think it is a sin to have fun with your animals in an unconventitional way, I feel sorry for you. Maybe you don't want to spend the money on your pet, but don't begrudge those of us who embrace and enjoy our pets. I love my pony no matter what color she is, i don't dye her for myself, i dye her for the severily handicapped children she helps in therapy class. the children have mental and physical disabilities and it helps to get there attention. The joy from the parents whenthey hear a child say "oh, pretty", when they never talk because they are autistic , is a reward I guess you'll never experience. We do volunteer work with our pony , and i bet the same nay sayers that complain about dying a dogs fur also never contribute to the happiness of children less fortunate. some people could care less about making others smile in a nursing home or special needs school ever. My dog is white but she's been pink, red, blue colours b4 & didnt harm her in any way! As long as u use the right products your dog will be fine :o) she will be purple by the end of next week & every1 i know (including strangers in the street on walks) compliment on how she looks! She's not a toy dog either, shes a boxer X lurcher, it doesnt look ridiculous, it adds to her character. If any of u have a clue about dogs u'l know dogs react to your energy / emotions... so charlotte no 1 is dumb thinking THEIR dog loves it! Get a grip!!
