When thinking of eco friendly gifts, thoughts of clothing made of grass or homemade compost kits may come to mind, but the spirit of giving green may not be as dull as you think. I have found some pretty unique eco friendly ideas that will have you rethinking your gift list this year.
Let’s start with my favorite; something sexy. Who needs to buy overpriced, mass produced lingerie from Victoria’s Secret, aka China, when you can buy Enamore’s vintage inspired organic cotton and hemp sustainable clothing, lingerie and accessories. They are green with a flirty, retro edge.

If you have a trend setter on your list, may I suggest Sugar Cane Jeans for both men and women. They are unique jeans made from, well duh, sugar cane fibers and vintage salvage denim. Japanese owned Sugar Cane vintage denim jeans are the first of its kind to create such a product. Byproducts of sugar cane in South American countries has been used to fuel automobiles creating less harmful impact on the environment. Now it’s being used to create clothing. How cool is that?
They are a bit pricey and can be purchased at amazon.com.

And if that someone on your list happens to be a pooch, they would look darling in Deborah Lindquist’s designer doggie sweaters made of recycled cashmere. These days it’s not so “ruff” being a dog. She also makes environmentally conscious clothing for the owners, too.
