Last night was the episode that Britney Spears made a cameo appearance on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother, and I have to say she did a great job. She was funny, smart and great. Ha ha. Britney was convincingly funny as the ditsy receptionist named Abby at a dermatologist’s office who has the hots for Ted. Even her hair looked good for having massive extensions. You forget for a second that her life is a spiraling mess, but we all hope this is that start of her recovery to somewhat sane life. I think we are all fascinated by her life and are dying to see what she does next.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the Spears-starring episode attracted around 10.6 million viewers on Monday night when the show usually averages 7.8 miliion.
As a side note, the doctor, who was played by Sarah Chalke, said she was at a St. Patty’s Day party, but left early. And in the previous episode they mentioned that the “mother” was at that party, but left early. So the writers are either playing with us, or testing to see if we are actually paying attention. Hmmm, the hamster’s wheel is turning.
