And the winner of Project Runway Season 5 is…Leanne Marshall!
The final three designers to show their lines at Bryant Park are:
Leanne, my personal favorite, (next to ‘Holla Atcha Boy’ Blayne), who hails from Portland. This 27 year-old graphic designer started making her own ballet costumes at age 12. She graduated from FIDM in San Francisco.
Korto, my second favorite, gets much of her influence from her native Liberia. She moved to Canada to attend fashion school and somehow made it to Arkansas, where she permanently lives with her husband and daughter.
And…there’s Kenley, my least favorite. This nasally outspoken and rude designer has a vintage flair and seems to design nothing but 40s-style dresses. You’d never know this New York girl was born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida. Maybe that’s why she’s so cranky?
