My dad is a big fan of the Three Stooges and I remember watching the show as a kid on Sunday mornings with him so I guess you can say that I’m a fan as well.
The Farrelly Brothers, who were the brains behind There’s Something About Mary, are hoping to revamp their careers with a remake of the Three Stooges. Of course the original Moe, Larry and Curly are all deceased so the question is what actors are best to play the three slapstick comedians?
“We went to Clooney,” Peter Farrelly says, and were turned down. “Russell Crowe passed. Benicio was interested. Jeff Daniels was interested.” Sean Penn is also interested in a part.
It will be interesting to see who they get to fill Moe, Larry and Curly’s shoes, but for now fans of the Farrelly Brothers have Walter the Farting Dog starring the Jonas Brothers to look forward to.
