If you can’t get enough of Top Chef (who me?), then you’ll be thrilled to learn that head judge Tom Colicchio is producing a spinoff show, Top Chef Masters. It will feature 24 world-renowned chefs who will compete in challenges each week, and the winner will be declared Top Chef Master and a prize donated to the charity of their choice.
Just like Top Chef, each episode will have a quickfire challenge and an elimination challenge. According to the network, “the food will be tasted and evaluated by the judges and a wide range of tasters…whether it is patrons at a five-star restaurant or a room full of hungry kids.”
No Padma in this spinoff. Kelly Choi, former model and food journalist, will host Top Chef Masters and restaurant critic Gael Green, food critic Jay Rayner and editor-in-chief of Saveur magazine James Oseland will be at the judges’ table.
